Missionaries

Proclaiming the Gospel to the Nations

Missionaries

We exist to glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we pursue and live out this mission is through preparing and sending out missionaries to be effective messengers of reconciliation in a variety of contexts.

Jason and Nissi Dolan have a desire to minister to children coming out of broken homes in Guatemala City. Their greatest hope is that these children would come to know and trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior. The Dolans serve with Commission to Every Nation, an organization that helps missionaries get to the mission field. The Dolans ask for your prayers for the children whom they are serving and building relationships with and for their hearts to be open to the gospel.

Several years ago, Aaron felt the Lord calling him to go and to bring the kingdom of God into an unreached area of Southeast Asia and start an indigenous house church planting movement. In 2013, Aaron married his wife, Thaint, and they are currently part of Known as The Way—a movement of Christ followers who are displaying His love and glory. Their vision and desire is for people to see Christ and know Him personally through His story, His family and by the way Christians live their lives founded upon the gospel.

Aaron and Thaint ask for prayers in navigating the culture, which can be difficult due to the spiritual climate, lack of community and communication barriers. The city they live in has less than 1% of Christians and lacks basic infrastructure, imports, medical access and quality-of-life standards. If you are interested in learning more about how you can pray, serve or support Known as The Way, please visit their website: knownastheway.com.

K is serving in the Middle East at an indigenous church. Pray for K as she builds relationships and learns culture and language. Pray that the Lord would open the hearts of the Middle Eastern people to accept the Gospel. Pray that God would build up and multiply the local church.

Chad and Hiroko Farmer have burdened hearts for the people of Japan. They desire to share the gospel with a population where only 0.25% of people have heard and believed the gospel. The need is great.

The Farmers moved to Nagoya, Japan, in 2014 to be part of fulfilling that need and bringing the gospel to the Japanese people. Chad is a pastor on staff at Mustard Seed Christian Church. The Farmers ask for your prayers: that they might be used by God to reach the lost, that they can help equip leaders and also help plant churches.

At the age of 14, Danyelle spent some time serving at an orphanage in Mexico. The Lord began to stir her affections, and she developed a deep love for Spanish-speaking peoples. God proves His love for us in His forgiveness of our sins, and Danyelle feels called to share this with the unreached people in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is serving with SIM in children’s and family ministry. Danyelle is involved with discipleship through education and orphan ministry, teaching first grade at an international school and volunteering at a local orphanage. She spends her time building relationships with the children and daily reflecting Christ in their lives.

For more information and how to give financially, please email Danyelle.

While attending the University of North Texas, Ellen felt a burden on her heart to be a missionary in Thailand. She spent a summer in that country doing campus ministry. When Ellen returned to UNT, she prayed about meeting Thai international students. She got involved with the Thai Student Association, had Thai roommates and worked for a Thai family in their restaurant. God used all these things to deepen her desire to go to Thailand and share the good news of Jesus with the Thai people.

Ellen now serves with Pioneers on a church planting team, reaching out to university students. She is teaching English at a university in hopes of building relationships with students. Ellen will help her Pioneers team lead Bible studies on campus while continuing to learn the language.

In 2013, Kourtney had the opportunity to travel with a team to Fundaniños in Guatemala to serve the children and leaders there. Immediately the Lord began to do a work in her, stirring her heart and her affections for the people and the work at Fundaniños. She went back to visit many times over the next few years. In September 2015, she finally felt that the Lord was calling her to make the move to Guatemala and serve there permanently.

Kourtney will be serving and supporting the teenagers at Fundaniños as they work toward their educational and independence goals. She will also work with the girls at the home, pouring in to their lives day to day. She looks forward to whatever adventures the Lord has for her in the future!

T and M are part of a team serving in East Asia, preparing for future ministry work. After two years, they will start a new church planting team in an unreached area.

During his time at college, T felt the call to the mission field and subsequently served for four years in Asia. This is where where he met his wife, M, and they now have two children.

Among where they will be living, there are currently around a dozen young believers who have no church and no channels for further growth or discipleship. T and M will most likely work in an educational field as they try to build relationships. If you are interested in learning more about how you can pray, serve or support T and M, please email John Warren.
