DESCRIPTION:This summer we are encouraging members of the church to take some time during the summer schedule to learn how walking with God connects to every day life.   These classes\, offered Tuesday nights in July\, are an opportunity to gather with many members of the church to grow in a knowledge of God that leads us to love on another. These classes are for everyone.  This summer\, we will offer two classes.  Kid Keepers is offered for children birth through fifth grade. \nWisdom for Life: A Study of Proverbs \nThis four week study will take four weeks to teach about the book of Proverbs and how wisely applying the scriptures to our leads away from foolishness and into greater life with God. \nKnowing God \nThis four week study will take four weeks to teach about the theological realities of God’s characters and how we are to respond to our knowledge of Him. \n  \nWisdom for Life Registration \n  \nKnowing God Registration

SUMMARY:Summer Equipping Classes
DESCRIPTION:This summer we are encouraging members of the church to take some time during the summer schedule to learn how walking with God connects to every day life.   These classes\, offered Tuesday nights in July\, are an opportunity to gather with many members of the church to grow in a knowledge of God that leads us to love on another. These classes are for everyone.  This summer\, we will offer two classes.  Kid Keepers is offered for children birth through fifth grade. \nWisdom for Life: A Study of Proverbs \nThis four week study will take four weeks to teach about the book of Proverbs and how wisely applying the scriptures to our leads away from foolishness and into greater life with God. \nKnowing God \nThis four week study will take four weeks to teach about the theological realities of God’s characters and how we are to respond to our knowledge of Him. \n  \nWisdom for Life Registration \n  \nKnowing God Registration

DESCRIPTION:WEATHER UPDATE –  We The celebration service will start at it’s scheduled time of 10 a.m. Brief thunderstorms in the area should give way to sunny skies.  We will continue to monitor the weather and post updates here. \n—————– \nJoin us as we gather together for one service in the park on April 28. We will celebrate new life in Christ with baptisms\, sing together and then enjoy lunch and fellowship. Please bring blankets\, lawn chairs\, games\, etc. \nF.A.Q.S \nWhat time is the service and how long will it last? \nWe encourage you to arrive at the park at 9am. This will give you time to drop off your carpool load\, park\, get shuttled and settled for the service to begin at 10am. \n  \nWhere do I park? \nDue to the limited parking at South Lakes\, we’ll be utilizing McMath MS and Houston ES’s parkings lots in addition to South Lakes’ parking. To make this work\, everyone must plan to carpool to the park. Feel free to use the church’s parking lot to leave your cars and carpool to the park.  \nWe’ll direct drivers to the entrance of South Lakes Park to unload their passengers and carloads. From there\, drivers will be directed to park in either McMath MS or Houston ES and  shuttle will pick up the drivers to bring them to the park. We’ll have volunteers ready to serve you and your family as you unload your car and bring chairs to the park. Anyone required more assistance\, please make your needs known and we’ll work to accommodate you.  Please show up early to use the shuttle; we’ll start shuttling at 9am. \nShuttles will start shuttling back to McMath MS and Houston ESan hour after the service ends. We’ll make an announcement over a bullhorn for the start and end of our shuttling services. \n  \nWhere will my kids go during the service? \nThere will be no Little Village or Kids Village\, so your kids will worship with you! Understandably\, small children may struggle to sit through the entire service without a break\, so it is fine to get up and let them walk around or even make a quick trip to the playground if needed. You will be responsible for the children you bring with you throughout the service and picnic. \n  \nWhat do I need to bring with me? \nSomething to sit on – either a blanket or a lawn/camping chair. We will not provide seating\, and there are not benches close by. We will also be outside without much shade\, so think about what will help you be most comfortable and able to participate in the service: plenty of water\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, etc. Think about what your children might need to help them listen and participate as well. We will provide lunch and games after service\, but feel free to bring extra snacks\, games or sports equipment if you like. \n  \nIs there anything I need to leave at home? \nWe encourage you to please leave your pets at home.  \n  \nWhat are we eating for lunch? \nWe’re serving barbecue for lunch and drinks will be provided. There will be gluten free options available. \nWhat if it rains? We will monitor the weather and decide on Friday to cancel the service if rain seems likely. We will communicate that decision by email and then hold our regularly scheduled worship services that Sunday.
