I was born into the Church and was taught a form of the Jesus Prayer, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner, which I began praying with earnestness as far back as I can remember. Because God is faithful I still pray the same prayer today. In the intervening years I have experienced the mercy of God through a host of means including the Church, my family, a growing awareness of my own and others’ need for grace, the practice of confession, baptism, old and new books, theological education, godly mentors, the Lord’s Supper, my wife, and now being a daddy. My family and I love the Village Church Denton and are here to serve and to learn.
