God was gracious to save me at the tender age of 10 years old. Neither of my parents attended church when I was growing up, but knew I should be in church. My mom started taking me to church when I was a preschooler and I quickly became involved in everything you could possibly get in as a kid. In all the sermons I heard, the word never penetrated my heart. I thought of them as stories and nothing more. Until one Sunday at church when they gave the altar call, I immediately felt a pressing on my heart that I was a sinner and needed Jesus. I went up after the service had ended and told an elder I wanted to accept Christ into my heart. Soon after, I was baptized in front of our church body. I immediately felt a part of God’s family and knew I was accepted as His child.

Since then God has used friendships, marriage, children, career and a myriad of other experiences to continually shape me into he wants me to be. Through solid Biblical teaching as a youth and consistent Christian community, He has helped me to build a foundation that is rooted in His truth.

I came to The Village Church in 2010 and attended the Flower Mound campus while attending seminary. Since then, I have attended the Dallas campus and finally made the Denton campus my home in 2013. Throughout my time at TVCD, I have volunteered in various capacities such as Little Village teacher, home group leader, membership table leader and Steps mentor. I feel so honored and blessed to be part of this body and look forward to the ways God will make His kingdom come through His body.
