I grew up in a strong Christian home and was called by Christ to God on November 9, 1983. My mother worked as our church’s secretary, and my father was a deacon at our church and a police officer.
As a teenager, I rebelled against the “pressure” of being in that environment. I went to college with the intent of playing soccer and partying as much as possible. Within two weeks of starting college, the Lord radically drew me back to Himself, and I began serving in ministry. I met my wife in college, and we got married when I was 20. We did ministry together in various ways vocationally and non-vocationally for years. We joined The Village in July 2003.
I live in Denton with my wife, Beth (who is on staff at the Denton campus), and our three children, Sarah, Levi and Elijah. We are very blessed to be a part of what God is doing at The Village.
