Join us Sundays at 10 a.m.

After spending the last number of months scattered, The Village Church Denton will begin the process of "Regathering' in late August with a weekly, centralized service hosted simultaneously on both Zoom and in person at the church building.

The hope and goal for these services is to help maintain our church's corporate identity and unity by walking through a shared liturgy - gathering around God's word, confessing our sin, recounting testimonies of praise, and worshiping together. Our hope is that gathering as a whole church in this way for the coming season will help us endure and grow in love for God, one another and our neighbors.  Whether on zoom or in person, the goal is for our church to be together for services in the days ahead.

The plan is to begin hosting weekly, centralized Sunday gatherings every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. beginning on August 30.

At the same time, we don't want to undermine any of the good that's come from our scattered Sunday gatherings over the past five months. Our hope is to shepherd our congregation toward a centralized gathering while simultaneously strengthening the relationships that have been established and deepened.

Our goal is to regather and stay connected. Not either/or.  If you are looking to get connected to a group of people or questions about your current group, please email Roy Onyebetor, Connections Minister.

Q: Will I have to register to be able to attend a service in-person?

A: Yes, we will use an online registration for these Sunday services.

Q: How many people will be able to attend in-person?

A: We will continue to follow the standards we've been using to practice social distancing and honor the what civic leaders have guided us to do.  Currently, we plan on having 160 people register including children.

Q: Will Next Gen Ministries be available in person?

A: No, we will not offer Next Gen programming on Sunday mornings for those who join us in person.  Your children are welcome to attend the service with you in person. We are looking into ways to begin offering preschool ministry in the coming days.

Q: I'm new to The Village Church Denton. How can I learn more and get connected?

A: Our Connections Minister, Roy Onyebetor, would love to give you next steps for connection into the life of this church.  You can email him at or visit our I'm New page for more information.

Q: Can I come if I didn’t register?

A: Due to the need to socially distance, we have to monitor the capacity of the service. If you did not register, we ask that you not come to the service and register for a service at a later time.

Q: What safety protocols are in place for those attending in person?

A: Social distancing upon entry and exit will be practiced at our services for the health and safety of all attendees. If you exhibit symptoms, are not feeling well or if you have had known exposure to the Coronavirus within the past 14 days, please do not attend the service.

Along with social distancing, the practices below will be followed for this service:

  • Masks are required in the building and we ask you to wear it at all times in the building. If you don’t have one with you, one will be provided for you.
  • Hand sanitizer will be required and provided for attendees as they enter the building.
  • All attendees will be ushered to seats and will be dismissed from seats once the service has ended.
  • Attendees won’t be able to linger or congregate inside the building before or after the service but are welcome to do so outside in the green space or parking lot.
  • Volunteers and Staff members will be following additional safety protocols as outlined by Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
