Equipping Classes

Topical classes for the Christian life

Abiding in the Word of God, Together

We believe spiritual formation is a lifelong journey of learning to follow Jesus with our whole lives. Our equipping courses are designed to help you grow in knowledge, deepen your love for God, and live faithfully in community. This summer, we’re offering three unique opportunities to be formed through Scripture, spiritual practices, and deeper reflection.

Childcare is not provided for these classes, but we do offer reimbursement for those who pay for childcare in order to attend.

Practicing the Way: An Introduction to Spiritual Formation

Tuesdays, June 3–July 22 | 7:00 PM
This eight-week course offers a foundational understanding of intentional spiritual formation. Through teaching, guided conversation, and insights from spiritual leaders across traditions, we’ll explore how to follow Jesus in a distracted, fast-paced, and increasingly secular world. Each session includes teaching, practical tools, and space for community reflection.

Going Through the Wall: A Journey of Deepening Faith

Tuesdays, July 1–22 | 7:00 PM
At some point in the spiritual life, most of us encounter a “wall”—a season marked by doubt, spiritual fatigue, or dryness. This four-week course will guide you into a deeper awareness of God’s love, even when He feels distant. Together we’ll reflect on how these difficult seasons can become a pathway to deeper trust and spiritual maturity.

Reading the Parables

Thursdays, July 10–31 | 7:00 PM
Jesus’ parables are simple yet profound stories meant to awaken our hearts and imaginations to the kingdom of God. In this four-week class, we’ll explore how to read the parables with fresh eyes and hear the invitations of Jesus more clearly. Together we’ll consider what these stories reveal about God’s character and the life of discipleship.
