Children’s Ministry

Partnering with parents to make disciples

At The Village Church Denton, we’re committed to nurturing the spiritual growth of our youngest members. In Little Village (ages 1-K), we lay the foundation of a gospel-centered life by teaching children from the Scriptures and partnering with parents to help them understand and proclaim who God is and what He has done through Jesus Christ.

Our Elementary Ministry (1st-5th grade) builds upon this foundation, diving deeper into the nature and character of God, helping children grow in their knowledge and love for Him.

Join us on Sundays in Little Village or Kids Village. For more information, feel free to contact Alyssa Moore, our Preschool Minister, or Meagan McQuirk, our Elementary Minister.

Little Village (ages one – Kindergarten)

In our Preschool Ministry (ages 1-K), we focus on laying the foundation of a strong, gospel-centered understanding for our little ones. We teach from the Scriptures, partnering with parents to help their children understand who God is and what He has done through the life and work of Jesus Christ.

In Little Village on weekends, we engage kids through singing, dancing, and Bible teaching, emphasizing our five core truths:

  • God made everything
  • God is in charge of everything
  • God is good
  • Jesus came to save sinners
  • God wants to talk with us

Our volunteers are trained and screened to ensure safety, and we maintain strict teacher-to-child ratios. For the health and well-being of all, children must be symptom-free for 24 hours before attending, and we ask that parents inform us of any allergies or medical conditions.

Kids Village (1st – 5th grade)

In our Elementary Ministry (1st-5th grade), we continue to build on the gospel-centered foundation laid in the Preschool Ministry. We teach children about the nature and character of God—how He is wise, generous, loving, and good. Our goal is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children by providing environments, curriculum, and resources that center around the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In Kids Village on weekends, we worship through song, share Bible stories, and gather in small age-specific groups to discuss Scripture together. We aim to foster an environment where kids can grow in their understanding of God and apply His Word to their lives.

Our volunteers are carefully trained and screened, and we maintain strict teacher-to-child ratios to ensure the safety of all children. For health reasons, children must be free from fever or any symptoms of contagious disease for at least 24 hours before attending. Please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions your child may have.

Check In & Wellness Policy

Children’s Check In

Check-in begins 15 minutes before each service. If you’re visiting for the first time, you’ll fill out a registration card so we can place your child in the appropriate classroom. After checking in, you’ll receive security stickers for your child(ren). These stickers serve two important purposes:

  1. Parent Paging – If we need to contact you during the service, your sticker number will be displayed.
  2. Child Pick-up – To ensure your child’s safety, you’ll need to present your portion of the sticker when picking up your child.
Child Wellness Policy

To help protect the health of all children and volunteers, please do not bring your child to Little Village (ages one through Kindergarten) or Kids Village (1st-5th grade) if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Diarrhea
  • Persistent runny nose with substantial discharge
  • Lethargy
  • Hacking or wet-sounding cough

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all children.
