Love is expressed in serving one another. From kids, to worship, to greeting, there are lots of ways to serve.

Serving one another is a vital expression of our faith in Christ. We have many opportunities to minister both within and beyond the church walls. Engaging in these ministries is a primary way we support and uplift each other. Take a look at our available opportunities of service and reflect on how God has uniquely equipped you to serve others.

Serving with Children and Students

We need Godly men and women of all ages and stages to join us! There are many ways to use your giftings during the week or on Sundays ranging from weekly to monthly commitments.

Because we desire to protect children involved in our ministry, The Village Church Denton requires all volunteers working with children or students to complete four safety steps before ministry work or volunteer placements begin:

  • Complete the Next Gen Application and a volunteer interview
  • Criminal background check
  • Ministry Orientation, Policies and Procedures Overview
  • Sexual Abuse Awareness Training
Preschool Ministry (Little Village)

Those who serve in our Preschool ministry (birth – K) get the opportunity to shepherd and care for our littlest ones during weekend worship services through singing, dancing and teaching the truth of God’s Word. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and care for babies and toddlers.

For questions, contact Alyssa Moore, Preschool Minister.

Elementary Ministry (Kids Village)

Those who serve in Kids Village minister to our 1st – 5th graders during weekend worship services through singing with the children, telling stories and teaching the truth of God’s Word. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and sing or play in the worship band.

For questions, contact Meagan McQuirk.

Middle School/High School (Students)

Those who serve in our Middle School and High School ministry get the opportunity to build and foster relationships with students, ministering them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship. They check in students, greet students, set up events, and lead small groups.

For questions, contact Andre Rose, Students Minister.

They collect the offering after weekend worship services or they assist with counting the offering on Sunday nights. Due to the confidential nature of the role, applicants must be Covenant Members.

Those who serve in Home Groups and Restoration Groups lead groups in learning to obey God’s word together. They oversee groups of 12-15 individuals, develop leaders, encourage non-members toward membership and encourage members to faithfulness.
