Join us as we gather together for one service at North Lakes Park. We will celebrate Pentecost, commemorating the sending of the Holy Spirit, by singing and praying together and then enjoy lunch and fellowship.

What time is the service and how long will it last?

The service begins at 10:00 and will be the length of a typical worship service. Consider arriving early to grab your spot and get settled.

Where do I park?

The parking team will be ready to direct you at both entrances of the park. Please leave the parking lot closest to the playground for families with young children and/or those with physical limitations. While there should be plenty of space for parking, carpool if you can! Please do not park at the North Lakes Rec Center.

Where will my kids go during the service?

There will be no Little Village or Kids Village, so your kids will worship with you! Understandably, small children may struggle to sit through the entire service without a break, so it is fine to get up and let them walk around or even make a quick trip to the playground if needed. You will be responsible for the children you bring with you throughout the service and picnic.

What do I need to bring with me?

Something to sit on – either a blanket or a lawn/camping chair. We will not provide seating, and there are not benches close by. We will also be outside without much shade, so think about what will help you be most comfortable and able to participate in the service: plenty of water, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. Think about what your children might need to help them listen and participate as well. Feel free to bring snacks, games or sports equipment if you like.

Is there anything I need to leave at home?

We encourage you to please leave your pets at home.

What are we eating for lunch?

We will be providing lunch.  The food is to be determined.

What if it rains? 

We will monitor the weather and decide on Friday to cancel the service if rain seems likely. We will communicate that decision by email and then hold our regularly scheduled worship services that Sunday.
