Deaconess
I was raised in a Christian home. My dad was a pastor and associational missionary in various places in Missouri. For most of my growing up years my mom was a pastor’s wife with all the responsibility that entails. As you can well imagine we were at church anytime that the door were open. I am the middle child of 5 with 2 older sisters and 2 younger brothers. I became a Christian when I was 8 years old. I was involved in every aspect of church and loved learning. When I was 19, I married Steve and two years later he joined the Coast Guard. The Lord has been very gracious to me in letting me find other Christians and churches to do life with in Washington, Michigan, California and Texas. When our youngest daughter went to college, I joined Steve and drove the road for seven years. At the end of that time I was in the Dallas area, attending The Village when I heard that they were hiring an additional administrative assistant. I applied for the job, and I have loved every minute of being a part of The Village family. I am very thankful that God has allowed us to be in this area.
