I grew up in a home, that out of habit attended church on a regular basis, and I had an understanding of who God was but did not know him at a personal level. I pursued my own pleasure and glory, involving myself in earthly desires. At the age of 19, the gospel was shared with me and the Holy Spirit revealed truth about my sin and my separation from God – but through the Jesus’ perfect life, sacrificial death and victorious resurrection, I could be reconciled to a God that loves me. I understood the gospel to not only save me from the penalty of sin but I can live a life free from the power of sin. I walk now in faith that God will continue to transform me from one degree of glory to the next.
